E-ten Architects client base includes several academy and private schools for which we have worked continuously for many years, forming lasting working relationships has been key in developing their successful environment and the Practice. Our knowledge of educational design allows us to create the right types of spaces to suite the teaching and pupil needs. Other strategies for the new school building included; consideration of the orientation and site, daylight lighting strategy, acoustics performance, adaptability for future proofing the building and flexibility to allow for day to day change of use, such as accommodating different teaching / classroom arrangements and methods. Examples of E-ten Architects projects include;

New Maths Facility, Bradford on Avon, completed 2013

From our office based locally to Bradford on Avon, e-ten architects designed and managed this new 525msq school building completed in 2013.

The seven classroom facility with teaching atrium was completed within the budget taking little over 1.5 years from inception to completion. The central atrium has a wave ceiling creating a dramatic space with natural light at high level tapering in plan allowing an additional teaching classroom space.This unique school building also incorporates high environmental credentials with 29 photovoltaic panels, sedum planted roofs and BREEAM 3 insulation levels.

New Science, IT and Languages Facility, Warminster, completed 2014

The new classroom block is phase 1 of 3 on the site of a Georgian school building within the Conservation Area and within an area of high archaeological interest. The design for the new Science, IT and Languages Facility forms a series of buildings linked together by the use of varying scales and materials. The junctions or links are expressed using copper roof covering with hardwood timber cladding walls or glazing to establish a visual hierarchy with a total floor area of 655m² over three storeys.
